Can participatory art experiences be translated into meaningful online interactions? What design considerations can help to encourage interpersonal social connections? What specific challenges are experienced by vulnerable groups in the context of online participatory art engagement? What affordances does accessibility entail in the context of participatory art facilitation? How can participants, carers, and facilitators influence the design of a meaningful interface for humming? These questions were approached by the AHRC-funded p_ART_icipate project which investigates the effect of participatory online art on social connectedness.
